The Heart Matters

Heartbreak comes in many forms. Your heart can be broken from being lied to, betrayed, oppression, death of a loved one, unmet expectations, unrealized potential, failure, and unaccomplished dreams. Heartbreak comes in many forms. If you’re suffering any kind of heartbreak, right now, there’s only one answer for healing: JESUS.

I’m sure you’ve heard many pastors say, “Stand on the word of God.” Sometimes, this utterance has the possibility to become popular rhetoric when it isn’t fully explained. So without further ado…

God made promises to us in the Bible. Through Jesus Christ, those promises can come into full culmination if we believe and are informed. Gods word tell us that the thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy. If the devil can keep us ruled by our feelings so, that we feel too tired to go to church or read our bible. Then we can be unaware of what God has from us and it will be stolen. Sometimes, we sit in church and hear the word and it’s stolen from us. Matthew 13 tells us that when we hear the word and do not have an understanding of it, it will be snatched from us.

That’s a lot of bad news. So, now for the good news: We can change this!

Firstly, take notes in church and then go home and study them. God tells Joshua to meditate on the word day and night. This is also a must for us. We have to constantly read, meditate, and digest the word. Understanding and revelation comes from above, so anyone without wisdom should ask and it will be given to them. There have been many times that I’ve had conversations with the Holy Spirit about the word and He’s given me clarity.

So in short, there are promises made by God, received through redemption in Jesus Christ, and manifested by revelation, proclamation, and obedience.

Each day, I will be dissecting a promise from God to address different kinds of heartbreak.

Love you,
Candice
